Asus v9999 Gamer Edition Videocard Review
With a retail price of $417 US, the Asus v9999GE is a major upgrade, and on the plus side it does come with a free USB web cam for Asus Game Face, and three nice bundled games. Because the card supports S-Video output, Asus also includes a nice long S-Video to Composite cable and DVI to analog converter. Whether you use Asus's GameFace software or not, it's nice to find a webcam that can be used by itself.
Performance of the Asus v9999GE videocard was excellent for the most part, but that is to be expected considering it's using a GeForce 6800 GPU. In almost all benchmarks, the v9999GE fought it out for top spot with the Asus AX800XT/TVD and Albatron GeForce 6800GT. Both are officially higher end cards. So if you're looking for a high end video card for your system, the Asus v9999GE certainly has a lot to offer, and it is damn fast! |
