Ultra Violet

We added some UV to this board and this is what the 925X-T2 could look like sitting in your box. Awesome, this is my first experience with a ultra violet motherboard and it stands out big time.

Final thoughts:

DFI has brought a true enthusiasts board to the market with the advent of the LANParty 925X-T2. This board is packed with features and its performance is outstanding. One appealing feature is the Matrix RAID. Matrix RAID allows the user to classify both raid levels on the same disks. You can split the disks to run a RAID 0 and RAID 1 volumes. This is great for people who might want to use the RAID 1 volume for operating systems, applications and important data, which is redundantly mirrored, in the event of a failure. The RAID 0 volume could be used where high performance disk access is needed, which would be great for games and scratch disk for applications such as Photoshop.

Another feature we like is the UV Sockets and Slots. This is a neat feature for those who like to create a galactic glowing rig about to go super nova. Actually it looks really nice and I am going to enjoy the neon effect it creates for quite some time.

Overlocking this board was a test of trial and error, once you spend more than a month doing analysis on a product you get very familiar with it and once we became familiar with what works on this board we pulled off some very amazing overclocks with over a 600MHz increase in core speed. Thats incredible on a stock HSF.

Dual GB ethernet using PCI and or PCI-Express is a very flexible feature that network gamers asked for and with DFI, ask and ye shall receive! For those of you who need this feature you got it with the LANParty 925X-T2.

The stability is exceptional in that it can handle some whicked overclocks and at stock speeds forget it, its the most stable I have seen. Games run perfect and flawless even under heavy overclocking. However there is a breaking point and we found that to be anything over 4GHz would cause random errors. In the future we plan to watercool the system and we will twist this rig back to wide open throttle!

The Pc Transpo at first glance was a bit of a suprise in that I at first did not see a need for this and perhaps was bias to its connection to the grand scheme of things. Then the Florida Hurricane's pounded south Florida and with it, I found myself scrambling to move our equipment and needless to say the Pc Transpo is now my best friend!

The 925X-T2 is a LANParty dream come true. With the features, over-clockability, stability and high performance, this product will appeal to the masses. Targeting the LAN Gamer, this kit is a must have for the serious fragger who pulls 12 hours shifts playing there favorite game title.

While LGA775, DDR2, PCI-Express is in its infancy this product does a super job at offering 1st generation solution to the public. While these standards are just now being released into the markets, the full potential of each standard is yet to be realised. As time go's on and roadmaps are met, these standards will mature into some of the fastest standards in the world. Stay tuned!

Conclusion:

Pro's:

  • Performance & Stability
  • Outstanding Over Clocking Headroom
  • UV Sensetive Slots, Cables & Sockets
  • CMOS Reloaded Works Great!
  • Matrix RAID Support
  • Engineering & Craftsmanship
  • Pc Transpo and FontX Adds Nice Touch.
  • 1st Class Warranty & Support
  • Spearheading LGA775, DDR2, PCI-Express Technologies

Con's:

  • Karajan Audio Riser Clearance Issue *

* The riser card might cause a clearance problem with some cases or even aftermarket CPU HSF's.
