NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.5 Software Released!
Written by Mavke
Monday, 10 May 2010

Well we have has just released a new version of NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) software. NiBiTor is the original and definitive BIOS tweaker that supports the latest NVIDIA graphics cards, and which is updated on a regular basis. NiBiTor allows graphics card enthusiasts, or the hardcore overclockers to have full control over some advanced features and functionality found on firmware of supporting cards. And doing so users gain some extra performance, enable certain hidden features, tweaking memory latencies, provide extensive information, adapt bootup settings, changing fan speed options and/or get extra stability on their NVIDIA based graphics accelerators which will just give them that little extra value.

Since we did get sufficient support we decided to make the new version available so that all those who are owning a GeForce GT 200 series graphics card can now as well fully tweak their cards. While the good news is that the next version is also ready, though this wasn't easy and we want to thanks the those who made this possible. We actually had to completely redesign the logic but gotten the Fermi technology supported.

Now you might say that is great, but where is that version which has the Fermi support? Well you are right to ask that question, and that version is available as of today to who is donating through the ChipIn module for the further development of the NiBiTor software. And yes, both these GeForce GTX 400 series cards are supported to adapt the clock speeds and voltage levels of the different operating domains. Do you own one of the Fermi based graphics card and want to tweak it according to your liking through some BIOS changes, than don't wait any longer and ChipIn now! And you will be the first to enjoy the Fermi version.

Changes in this Version

  • Added GeForce 210
  • Added GeForce GT 220
  • Added GeForce GT 230
  • Added GeForce GT 240
  • Added GeForce GTS 250M

This new version is build upon the logic of the previous version, with some minor fixes and a redesign to support as well unknown devices in some limited way. As always for extra features, settings and support please provide us your original BIOS, so that we can use it as reference to analyze the changes and to code the approriate support of the new video card or new features accordingly.
