VisionTek Xtasy Radeon X800 XT AGP Review
Written by Mavke

On Gamers-Depot I found a review on the VisionTek Xtasy Radeon X800XT AGP graphics card. With the recent onslaught of PCI-Express cards around, we thought it’d be good to once again look at a high-end AGP part and that happens to be VisionTek's Radeon X800 XT solution that represents one of the fastest gaming solutions available today.

ImageVisionTek Xtasy Radeon X800 XT AGP Review

AGP is still the more popular solution right now, mostly because PCI-E just came out within the last couple of months and because PCI-E versions a particular graphics card sells for quite a bit more than the AGP counterparts. Lastly, PCI-E is still in its infancy with regards to today's graphic solutions being able to full take advantage of the architecture.

In the end, VisionTek has an admirable product here and it backs it up with Lifetime Warranty – something many of their competitors can't hang with. We've always appreciated their stance on bringing performance to the masses and have zero reservations whatsoever in recommending this card to anyone seeking a leading-edge, AGP graphics solution that has tons of gaming prowess.

While PCI-Express might be the future of graphics, it'll be another 12-18 months or so before it can really take hold. If you don't have the money for a complete system over-haul just stick with AGP – its performance is on-par and is still a solid platform with plenty more breathing room left in it.

VisionTek has a history of being cutting edge with its products, and the VisionTek Xtasy Radeon X800XT is no exception to that legacy.
