Well some guys have managed to score a screenshot of the upcoming GeForce 9800 GX2 graphics card. This is nothing new from the design side as the card features the same reference design with a partner's sticker covering the half of the top cooler cover. The card's clocks are way higher than 600/2000MHz as was reported earlier. NVIDIA has an interesting idea on how to price its upcoming GeForce 9800 GX2 at over €500. The current price of the GeForce 9800 GX2 without value added tax is about €440 and we are talking about a GeForce 9800 GX2 with 1GB of GDDR3 memory. This would sound quite expensive although you don't forget that you get two G92's in one package. - FudZilla NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 Look Good And Expensive
The card should be available in the second half of March, but with a €500 price tag it already looks significantly more expensive than the Radeon HD 3870 X2 which is available today for about €330. Anyway, this card comes with 1GB of GDDR3 memory that works at 2400MHz. We doubt this figure as it sounds a tad too high. The GPU clock is far more interesting as it states that the new video card will work at 660MHz, which is 60MHz over the earlier reported clock speed. We still remember that this was the clock speeds of some greatly overclocked GeForce 8800 Ultra, so this might be a simple copy paste job. Now, the shaders on this card are clocked at 1650MHz, which is 150MHz over the reference value. So some partners might have an overclocked version in the works, these are the clocks at which GeForce 9800 GX2 will actually work, all will be revealed pretty soon. But in the end the actual clocks might just be something in between, which means there is still some room for tweaked version of the GeForce 9800 GX2 graphics card.
