Other Dragon Lasers Products & Series

As you might have guessed the Hulk series are not the only laser products that Dragon Lasers is offering, and in fast they have a very wide range of portable lasers that you can choose from as well as laser modules also know as their OEM lasers. The laser modules come equipped with an AC power and can be used alone to meet many kinds of applications or be used as a part of customer's own system. The AC powered laser modules have a number of advantages such as continuous use, high beam stability from a constant AC power source and built in TEC that maintains constant temperature. Ideal for professionals who need industrial quality lasers suitable for applications such as laser science experiments, laser light shows and laser projections.

But of course the main focus remains with their powerful pen lasers which are available in different sizes and colors. This is ranging from a simple pen laser, to the lager Hulk torch which we have been looking at. Their range starts with the Viper series which are the classic green laser pointers ranging up to 125mW, followed very closely by the Aurora series that are the world's most powerful laser pointers and are built on advanced pulsed laser technology going up to 300mW. These Aurora series also have a blue laser variant, considered as the ultimate pointing tool and presentation aid. After that you have the Hulk series, the bigger version of the Aurora series with a special edition being the Hulk Ultra series, ranging towards 600mW.

Going further down the line you will find the Spartan Series, coming again in a green and blue laser version but in a more handy format and able to go up to 400mW, and really being the coolest gadget around. And finally we come to their a bit more different pen lasers, by also having an orange laser pointer. The name is nothing special though as these are the Orange series which is the rarest and most unique of all colors for lasers and especially for laser pointers. An orange laser beam is very similar in color to fire, projecting the same feeling of warmth, peace and tranquility. Last but not the least you also have the Infrared series of laser pointers with a beam that is invisible to the naked eye.

Final Thoughts

The Dragon Lasers Hulk 225mW series green laser is an amazing laser. The beam is powerful and bright while providing one heck of a conversation piece. While testing in our lab, everyone was amazed at how bright the pen was, they all wanted to play with it and feel the power of the beam. Most laser modules and pointers consume a lot of battery power and the Hulk is no exception. The power draw is hefty with the battery testing was done based on one minute cycles. Depending on the battery types used, there longevity and other factors, results may vary. The Hulk green laser is definitely one bad ass laser, even with the battery consumption, the green laser draws a lot of attention and while not recommended as a novelty, the Hulk 225mW rocks with amazing brightness and performance.

We actually took it to the hills and tried it out at night and the laser was so bright we had quite some persons attracted by the lightning. And yes we did get some guys asking where to get one of these, and how much it costs and were amazed at its power. On the technical aspects of the laser, we have determined the laser beam quality on our sample is high quality in the greenie segment, but this does not mean you are receiving an average laser, what this means is the beam emission showing fluctuations. This simply means the wavelength has spiking in its frequencies. This is a result of manufacturing, quality control, lens, filter and crystal qualities. And no two lasers are going to have the same operational parameters, comparing several laser modules of the same rating and manufacturer will have their specific beam characteristics.

Lasers have a beam signature that differs from module to module; it's almost like a finger print in that it is extremely rare that two identical modules will produce the same results. In the end, the Dragon Lasers Hulk series are expensive to own, but then again when someone with the means and the money wants to buy something, the cost becomes irrelevant. It's definitely not going to be an item made for the general public as the cost and power alone will be in the hands of the elite few who want one bad enough. On an ending note we like the Dragon Laser Hulk series green lasers and anyone with the money and desire should check these guys out. These lasers are of exceptional quality and durable.
