The Dragon Lasers Hulk Series 225mW high-end handheld laser is packaged inside a rather simple paperboard box containing the handheld laser and protective laser safety glasses. Upon unpacking and removing the Hulk laser, we find its constructed of an all aluminum barrel, which is powder coated with an ebony finish. The aperture end is clearly marked and the laser is identified with a FDA approved laser compliance label. This sturdy and robust laser is designed with utmost functionality in mind and utilizes revolutionary heatsink and cooling technology. Even at powers as high as 300mW, there is no mode shifting or significant change in beam power or quality. This ideal balance between extreme power and beam stability makes the Hulk a world class high power high quality portable laser.

The Dragon Lasers Hulk green laser incorporates an improved state of the art diode technology with great to excellent specifications. As mentioned before it is not like any other pen laser but is actually a giant amongst these various powerful pen lasers. Of course due to being power by two 1.5V batteries it is still very portable with a very wide usage and a favorite laser for mounting on telescopes. The switch on this laser is a bit more different than the other pen lasers and that means that it can be switched on or off in a continuous mode, and not just one when you keep the button pressed down. In that aspect the front of the Hulk laser is foreseen of some rubbled surface to provide extra cooling.

The Dragon Laser Hulk laser shell is made of a light weight extremely durable alloy making the Hulk laser very rugged and tough, able to survive the severest punishment unscathed. Due to being a sort of torch it has to be very durable and fit well in your hand. To that extend we can certainly say that Dragon Lasers has designed the Hulk series well, and still took into account the design and style of the laser itself. The lens shutter and/or cover provides an additional level of protection to the lens from dust, and other contaminants. The handsome torch is very classy looking and sports a glossy finish. The power is excellent for star pointing and other long range tasks. However the output rating will not make it a suitable for use in the office at your weekly business meeting or small presentation groups, but that is not what it was designed for neither. You also see plenty of lasers at dance clubs and late night bars. This laser will outclass just about anything for its sheer size and output performance. In fact even the more known powerful pen lasers which you can also find at Dragon Lasers don't come close to this green monster. No wonder it is named after the hulk. This should be considered as a grown up powerful pen laser with extra power and performance to outclass any other powerful pen lasers available.

As you can see the quality of the enclosure is excellent and has an eye for precision. The thread on the closing cap has the exact fitting to match on the laser enclosure. At the other end we have the point which shows the opening for the laser beam which can be shut by the lens cover providing as well an extra protection to the lens from dust. While you can discharge the laser in close quarters, we don't recommend it, because when the beam hits walls in close proximity, the beam diffusion and scatter, which can cause eye damage. We highly recommend using laser safety goggles for this type of power output. Outside use shows a phenomenal beam display as the atmospheric conditions amplify the laser glow tremendously.
