The Gainward BLISS 8800 GT Goes Like Hell is still the fastest GeForce 8800 GT card we tested so far. You could compare 700MHz core speed to a couple of other cards on the market, like Zotac's GeForce 8800 GT AMP! and the EVGA e-GeForce 8800 GT SSC edition, but it is the memory that runs faster on Gainward GLH edition. The memory speed is 2050MHz and it's faster than EVGA e-GeForce 8800 GT SSC by 50MHz. For their BLISS 8800 GT GLH edition card, Gainward opted for specially designed dual slot cooler, so they dared push the memory further. The shaders run at 1750MHz, identical to EVGA cards. Zotac is slower by 50MHz and their card's shaders run at 1700MHz. - FudZilla Gainward BLISS 8800 GT Goes Like Hell Card Review
The cooler on Gainward's BLISS 8800 GT GLH version graphics card is completely different and it has a much bigger fan which results in 10°C lower average temperature. It's important that BLISS 8800 GT GLH stays quiet in 3D application too, because that's when the chip gets really hot. The cooler covers the surface of the card, but it doesn't touch the memory which has passive blocks on it. The cooler looks good even when taken off the card, and it's easier to see the two heatpipes that run from the copper block on the chip. The fan is placed between the copper block and aluminum fins, and remains hidden. We have been searching high and low for a GeForce 8800 GT card with a better cooler, and we have found it in the guise of Gainward's BLISS 8800 GT Goes Like Hell version. This is a great card, and the fastest GeForce 8800 GT you can buy. The core runs at 700MHz and the shaders at 1750MHz. The memory soared really high, 2050MHz effective, and it's the fastest memory amongst the GeForce 8800 GT family. The cooler is dual slot of very high quality and the fan is very quiet during operation. We have seen that the results are excellent, and that it easily outperforms reference cards. With the GeForce 8800 GT and VP2 engine, you can watch multimedia content in HD quality, without burdening the central processor. Two dual link DVI's with HDCP are natively supported, and HDTV picture quality is excellent. The card is listed a bit over €250, but availability is a big problem. If you manage to get your hands on such a Gainward BLISS 8800 GT GLH edition card, then we would seriously recommend you buy one because it's overclocked to some great speeds, and the fan has no problems cooling these fast cards. As this is the only dual slot cooler card we can warmly recommend it.
