These days thermal compound has become quite essential to the success of overclocking certain hardware components. If you've ever installed a fancy new heatsink on your processor then you know thermal grease can be very influential to cooling. If no thermal compound or thermal pad is used in the interface between a heatsink and the core of a processor, improper heat transmission may occur. If that happens the heatsink may over heat, or it may just run hotter than it really needs to. Even a very small amount of thermal compound can affect the transmission of heat between the surface of a processor and the base of a heatsink. In essence thermal compound has become a vital aspect for a stable and cool running system.

The Sunbeam Tuniq TX-2 compound is a high thermal conductive and low thermal resistance compound for components that require improved thermal dissipation. It is ideally suited for us in CPU, GPU cooling and other applications between power semiconductor components and heatsinks where thermal conductivity are major concerns. The Tuniq TX-2 is a more advanced thermal grease, following the successful TX-1 but improved for better thermal conductivity and superior heat transfer. The Tuniq TX-2 achieves the best interface between your CPU and the heatsinks by its unique designed molecular size and shape. Without any metal or electric conductive, Tuniq TX-2 is safe, reliable and the most effective thermal compound for your valuable CPU's and coolers.

The package is a bit less attractive as the Tuniq TX-2 compound comes in a plastic bag that has some specifications on the back. On the other hand, the bag is easy to open by lifting the flap on the bottom, instead of needing to cut the package open. We are however not that impressed by the package itself as it is very simple and not as professional as other brands such as Akasa and Arctic Cooling. These brands are currently using a more durable plastic package, which looks more attractive and giving a bit more details around the specifications and use of the thermal compound. But then again, the package is just a first view and in the end it is the actual compound that will have to as good as or better than the competition.

Turning the plastic bag around we get to the back of the package. The back of the package is revealing certain aspects of the thermal compound in more details and also provides some extra information on specifics of the Arctic Cooling compound. All in all the packaging is well thought out and provides enough information on the product itself. So we can say that Sunbeam has made a nice package with quite some information put on the plastic bag to make clear what this product is capable of in terms thermal conductivity. But still we are not completely sold by the way it is all presented, as it just looks a bit too simple compared to the other manufacturers which offer a more appealing package.
