Everglide s-500 Clip-on Microphone

Just something we forgot to mention, Everglide also include a nice little clip-on microphone, with a foam screen, to round out the package. There aren't any specifications on the microphone, but it is very sensitive and people can hear you in-game quite fine. This is nice since, and it's not tied to being clipped onto the cord for the headphones. In fact it can be clipped to your shirt, collar or, if you game shirtless, the cord for the headphones. This is somehow different from other headphones, where the microphone is attached to the headset itself.

What does look a bit odd when looking at the Everglide box is the small sticker detailing that a clip-on microphone is included. Somehow it makes us wonder if it wasn't included before, but now it is? Well, when you are going to a LAN party then being able to speak with your team mates is essential. On top of that with these s-500 Gaming Headphones you will have one hell of a gaming experience.

Final Thoughts

Simply put, Everglide did a darn good job with their s-500 Professional Gaming Headphones. Wearing these headphones for hours, the audio reproduced was phenomenal and was certainly among some of the better headphones. Gaming headphones can save you money. You can avoid spending several hundred dollars on a set of quality surround speakers for your gaming computer if you buy a set of quality gaming headphones for half as much money. In a LAN Party environment, and working in a team, this setup is practically perfect. Even though lacking surround support, the Everglide s-500 Gaming Headphones still manages to get the job done, and provide excellent audio and gaming experience.

During our Everglide experience, there were no problems with the audio cable being too short, headphones being uncomfortable to wear, or anything of that nature. The build quality should be acceptable even if routinely toting around the Everglide s-500 Gaming Headphone to and from LAN parties. The Everglide clip-on microphone was also suitable in our view and usage. When it comes to downfalls with the Everglide s-500 Gaming Headphones, there is not really anything in the way of notable problems. One item we would have been interested in, however, would be a volume controller to easily adjust the headphone volume without having to control that through the software.

If you want to enjoy your favorite music or play games for fun there are certainly some other alternatives, but make no mistake, this headset is made for competitive gaming and does an awesome job at it. The Everglide s-500 Professional Gaming Headphones fit and work just as you would expect. And the s-500 Gaming Headset is a good set of headphones for the gamer in your household. The sound and comfort are both awesome seem durable and come with a carrying bag. If you're in the market for a new gaming headset do yourself a favor and give these a look.
