Maximum Overclocking & Performance And to end it all, just one last try to see how far we can actually push these Crucial modules. So we just started playing around with the bus speed of our Core 2 Duo E6300 processor and ended up at 345MHz. This in fact resulted that our E6300 ran at 2.41GHz and the memory at 1033MHz, which is slightly higher then the advertised 1000MHz. We ended up with having some nice DDR2-1033 memory and could even apply the Crucial timings of 5-5-5-15. To proof that this overclock was stable on both the CPU and memory we ran some benchmarks. We will only share the SiSoftware Sandra results, to provide you the memory bandwidth raw power indication. Memory Bandwidth (PC2-8000 1033MHz - E6300 2.41GHz - 5-5-5-15)
Where it all comes down to is this, these Crucial memory modules do as advertised and even better. In term of performance these memory modules are excellent and very stable. When we are applying some higher voltage, like OCZ and Corsair are really promoting within their lifetime warranty we even get better results. Having set the voltage at 2.3V we could get these Ballistix series all up to 1067MHz. Awesome results for some outstanding memory. Way to go Crucial!
