High Performance Results We finally arrived to the stage where it all comes down to. The Crucial 10th Anniversary have been designed to be used at 667MHz, but they might have just that extra more that would come in very handy. So we are going to use these ram sticks and overclock these a bit but keeping the Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 processor at default 1.86GHz and see how well these perform. We won't let the mainboard BIOS and SPD chip take care of the memory timings. Instead we actually found the more optimized latency settings of 4-4-4-12! We will check on how the 10th Anniversary memory will do on our benchmarks.
Float Copy Results By having set the memory bus at 800MHz the Crucial memory is now running at DDR2-800, meaning overclocked by about 133MHz. This results in an awesome performance level of around 3563MB/s on the Float Copy results. This is certainly again a nice increase over the enhanced performance we have seen so far with an increase of about 115MB/s. It might not seem that impressive but then again they do run at PC2-6400 specifications, stable and fast.
Float Scale Results The Float Scale results are going taking the same approach and are reaching 3582MB/s on average with a peak of 3641MB/s. Again we get a decent boost of around 120MB/s over the previous results at very tight timings on 667MHz speed. So a higher bus speed does a lot but still the timings needs to be good to get the job done. And that is where Crucial does deliver top notch performance.
Float Add Results Onto the Float Add results and we can just draw the line further as also here we see a nice increase of 215MB/s which brings the average to 4202MB/s. We would like to point out that the difference between minimum and maximum is very decent. They are a bit bigger but that is only normal, they good point about it is that these don't drop below 3000MB/s. And that is quite an achievement. So no complains on this at all!
Float Triad Results And to end it all we have the Float Triad results which show as well an improvement and clock an average of 4205MB/s with a comparable increase as we are getting used to. Once again the 10th Anniversary memory has proven to be damn fast and stable. Yeah, the competitors should be looking out for these Crucial sticks as they are showing excellent performance.
The Crucial 10th Anniversary just have it all, they did put down an excellent score at a speed of 667MHz with the ability of very tight memory latency and on top of that when they are can be used at even higher speeds. With these DDR2-667 ram sticks you get nothing less then the best performance in both environments, either at 667MHz or at overclocked 800MHz this memory just has it all. These Crucial memory modules really do deserve the Limited Edition status.
