Enhanced Performance Results

Since the Crucial 10th Anniversary line is specifically built as a limited edition for performance enthusiasts we are going to see how much performance these memory modules can deliver. We will start this of by sticking to the 667MHz speed and start lowering the memory timings. Doing so we reached some very aggressive memory timings of 3-3-3-12 which are not even that common for DDR2-667 designed memory modules. But that is what comes advertised by Crucial and that is what we used.

Float Copy Results

So now that we are on the best memory latency for any DDR2-667 memory out there, we can have the better results for using these 10th Anniversary memory sticks at 667MHz. The memory timings have been set manually on the mainboard BIOS to 3-3-3-12 and that results in an awesome score of 3446MB/s on average for the Float Copy results. This is around 350MB/s increase over the 5-5-5-15 timings used before by just aligning the latency.

Float Scale Results

Also on the next results for the Float Scale part we see a tremendous increase of performance up to 3464MB/s on average which is an increase of about 350MB/s. We can clearly understand why the memory timings are playing a big role on the performance levels of the DDR2 memory; the lower the latencies will mean better responsiveness and better performance in the end. On the Crucial 10th Anniversary that certainly makes a huge difference.

Float Add Results

Continuing on our results we have arrived to the Float Add results of the 10th Anniversary PC2-5300 memory modules. By applying the 3-3-3-12 timings we see an average of 3989MB/s an improvement of around 450MB/s. So at 667MHz the new adapted latencies are paying of quite well and lift these Crucial memory sticks to a new performance level.

Float Triad Results

And finally we have the Float Triad results that are boosted to a 3984MB/s on average which again is a boost of about 450MB/s. We can also spot that the minimum and maximum levels are quite matching up and don't have that much gap in between. This adds up to having very stable operation with the 10th Anniversary modules.

These 10th Anniversary PC2-5300 ram modules are performing at extreme levels. Operating at 667MHz these ram sticks just blew us away by there stability and performance. So if you are looking for some decent memory modules at DDR2-667 speed levels then just think about these Crucial 10th Anniversary PC2-5300 sticks as they perform as fast are in most cases faster then any other DDR2-667 design dual channel memory kit.
