It looks like NVIDIA partners won't have much trouble selling the remaining GeForce 7950 GX2 cards. The price sank down to around €500 and it is still the fastest single card on the market. Well in a way it is not a single card, but who cares as this is a card you can plug into one slot and will give you the most frames per second for the money. You can find these cards on the market but they are not that widely available as they are good sellers. The other NVIDIA alternative is the good old GeForce 7900 GTX card that sells for around €400 these days, but at this price tag you also have ATI well performing and quietly cooled Radeon 1950 XTX. - The Inquirer NVIDIA's GeForce 7950 GX2 still selling like hot cakes
I guess all GeForce 7950 GX2 cards will vanish before the big nasty G80 sees the light of the day. We believe that this week will be crucial for G80 details as NVIDIA may start talking. The point would be to get all GeForce 7950 GX2 sold as soon as possible and that the G80 based graphics card will take over from where the GeForce 7950 GX2 left off. As NVIDIA has been quite silent about the G80 core, the details available are reduced to almost none. So, just as you all we are waiting to finally pick up on some of the actual details. For now the NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2 remains the fastest card around.
