I started relying on the headphones audio positioning to alert me of approaching enemy giving me a few extra seconds to accomplish my task. Knowing the position of the opposition is a tactical advantage when ground pounding. What I found was really great about these headphones, you can turn them down to lower volume levels using the master volume control and still have excellent audio positioning.

Quake 4 the long anticipated sequel comes alive with a really awesome audio system and the Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones enhances this title to the max. Quake 4 is old school now, but for testing purposes this title was amazing with these headphones, almost bringing new life to our experience. Rich high fidelity 3 dimensional sound in this title makes it just that much better. If you used regular 2 speaker headphones to play this game back when it was hot, you havent heard nothing yet!

Battlefield 2 is a great FPS and having an online advantage is key to winning without using exploits and manipulations. The Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones can and will give you an definent advantage over anyone using standard headphones. You can tell if anyone is beside you or behind you at anytime with amazing clearity. Jet's and helicopters come alive with these head phones, closing your eyes will still give you a sense of direction just by listening to the direction of the object passing by and while surround is nothing new, putting this capability into these headphones with no software is awesome and the effects it has on these titles breathes new life into these games.

My favorite expansion pack to my favorite FPS of all times. Man you wont believe the increase in my frag rates using these headphones. Now I dont have to worry about waking up the misses at night to get in a session with this title. Using the Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones with BF2SF is kick ass! I can frag yo azz with these headphones way before you hear me, if your using an external speaker system. Hands down. Sure I could hear surround over my desktop speaker system, but now I can get better surround using these headphones without keeping the world awake in the wee hours and I swear I can hear more of whats going on.

F.E.A.R. is a shooter that captures the sensation of being in wild and desperate firefights like no other game before it, and it's an incredible, kinetic, almost exhausting experience from start to finish. More than that, though, is the fact that it's also one of the most atmospheric and creepy games ever made, as well as one of the most intense shooters that you'll play this year and using the Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones will make this game seem like its in your face. Wow, awesome surround effects and lush deep sounds makes this title come alive using the Razer Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones! Impressive indeed.

Again even with a much older title like FarCry, my experience is all new with being able to listen to this game in a totally new sound environment. Since we are using this title just for testing these headphones, I decided to keep the title on this test rig and play it once again do the the new sound environment using these headphones. I can see now just how much I was lacking in the sound department before using these headphones. Sure I have a 5.1 desktop speaker system, but to have this in a headphone format makes this an exceptional personal experience. It really makes these titles more appealing than before and thats a good thing.

Doom 3 set new standards in PC entertainment and while this is another dinosoar of a title, the game play is still amazing and full of excitement. Using the HP-1's on this title has the over all effect as with all the other titles testing, it truly adds new life to these titles. This really shows me what I was missing by using standard 2 channel stereo headphones as compaired to these HP-1's. It's just amazing to hear this title using these headphones. I was able to find creatures faster and pin point there location with pint point accuracy whether they were in front or behind me. These headphones are really starting to show me just what all I was missing. Now I see why I could barely sneak up on some opponents, because no one can sneak up on me now, I can hear them a mile away.
