Up Close & Personal Wow, these things look cool! Leather material surrounds the phone ear pieces with integrated cloth material which is foam padded and feels very comfortable and soft. The headband is also leather with padding and adjusts to just about any size one could need. The Razer Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones are definitely sweet and the quality and craftmanship feel very rugged and very sturdy.
These headphones are high quality all the way around. Here we see both let and right sides of the Razer Barracuda HP-1's. Also, the headphones look comfortable and feel rather light which is a good thing for extended usage. So far the over all package is really nice looking, I can't wait to fire these bad boys up.
Razer decided to add a in-line amplifier and volume control to the audio cord. Basically this little device is what will allow you to control the on/off power switch, bass, center, front, rear and a master volume controls. What we mean by in-line, is the fact this controller is built directly inline with the power cord. It is located approximately 20" down the cord from the left side ear-phone and more or less will rest in your lap while using these headphones. There is also a belt clip to attach to pant pockets or waste line for user convenience.
Razer has kept a few things in mind when designing these headphones, comfort, style and performance. Great looks, easy installation and trouble free operations are some of the things to expect from Razer and these headphones hold that same quality and performance that we have seen with all of Razer's products.
Most of housing is made of high quality polycarbonate substrates which offers excellent resistance to breaking. The hinge and pivots are suprisingly strong and lightweight while providing - one size fits all self adjusting head rest incorporated into the design. The power cord is about six foot in length providing enough length most system configurations. Let's see what comes with the headphones.
