Razer Retail Box Up Close...

Here we have the retail box. Razer cuts no corners with there packaging, if you are familar with Razer products then chances are you have noticed the exclusive product packaging schemes and retail boxes. Having excellent print work with the famous black and green graphics, razer puts bling into there product and retail boxes, without a doubt. Not only does the package sport great looks, it protects the product very well.

The box coming in, mainly black and quite huge houses the Razer Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones, audio splitter cable, detachable microphone, quickstart guide and certificate of authenticity. At the bottom right, on the botton of the box we find the UPC stamp and certifications group endorsements. The front side of the box cleary shows product and the backside has features and specifications printed in 10 different languages, making this package very informative to the consumer, the world over. So an interesting package, that will please a lot of gamers out there.

One thing that I found unique was the box design itself. The front panel actually lifts up to reveal the headphones inside the box. The front panel is held in place by two hook and loop fasteners aka Velcro. The bottom picture shows the round loop side to the Velcro. Just peel back and you get to see the Razer Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones inside a transparent polycarbonate container.

Here we see the plastic container outside the retail box. The entire front and back of the transparent polycarbonate is thermally crimped (like welded plastic) and is a bish to open if you dont have hand tools like industrial scissors. So not only is the headphones protected by a cool looking box, once inside, the plastic container further protects the product from the rigors of commercial shipping and box molesters like that brown company that must divert there packages to a warzone before delivery. Having been said, brown raped our box with something short of an amored tank and its not the first time, so consumer beware. Luckily the Razer retail package survived the horrors with just a crushed corner.

Getting back on track the Razer Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones are poised and ready to be released from their shell. Let's break out the scissors and rescue these headphones from there retail tomb. I went to get scissors to cut into this thing and holy goodness what is this stuff? This polycarbonate is almost bullet proof or so it seems, I think I need bigger scissors. Anyway the point being, this is no sissy container and it can put the ninja on you if you don't have a good set of heavy duty scissors. I ended up man handling the plastic container for instance results, lets go see these bad boys.
