Professional gamers, to enthusiasts and you're grandma can all agree on one thing, Razer products kick ass. We have had the pleasure of using Razer's gaming mice and surfaces over the last several years and have a lot of experience with the Diamond Back, Diamond Back SE, Copperhead and eXactMat products. And with excellent results from using these products as our main interface devices, there was no doubt in our minds we wanted to check out the new Razer Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones. 
Razer Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones With eight amplifiers contained within its volume control units, eight discrete drivers; six for mid-high frequency, 2 for bass, the Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones are designed to reproduce sonic purity by also utilizing 99% oxygen free copper cables, providing a crisp clear audio signal acrossed audio bus system. From the driver board to the speaker drivers, a high level of audio signal integrity is maintained at all times. Propreitary features such as Razer HD-DAI™ (High Definition-Dedicated Audio Interface) and Powered with Razer Fidelity™ standards, the Razer Barracuda HP-1 promises to deliver the most insane precision audio environment when used with the Razer Barracuda AC-1 Gaming Sound Card. The Razer Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones will provide you with true eight channel positional audio with your current sound card without the need to upgrade to the Razer Barracuda AC-1 Gaming Sound Card. However to experience the Powered with Razer Fidelity™ realism, you should invest in both peripherals for the most intense 3D audio positioning available in a headphone design. While we would have liked to review both products, the Razer Barracuda AC-1 Gaming Sound Card was not available to use at the time of the review, so we will test our Razer Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones with our on-board audio and see what gives with these kick ass headphones.
