Synthetic Benchmarks
First on our list of test's is Aquamark 3. Yip, that's right, Aquamark 3 still gives us a great idea of performance whether this synthetic benchmark is obsolete or not. We like it so we will use it. Check it out! 11,763, this tells us - you will get the ability to run Direct 3D games at lower resolutions such as 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 with medium settings and enjoy full blown game titles set on rather modest settings. Again we have to consider this is component level VGA integration that utilizes extended ram for frame buffer memory, reminds me of turbocache actually.
Let's face it, this is not break neck speeds, but then again, who in the office environment or the budget minded, can spend $59.99 USD without buying a video card, pull off a score like that. For it's segment the ABIT NF95 is looking good considering cost versus performance and this is right out of the box scores. No tweaking, mods or anything. Not to shabby at all! This means system integrators can build a working system that will in fact play D3D games without the need to acquire and setup an external graphics card.

3DMark05 can put the dialup on any system and the way it taxes our NF95 is no exception either. Simply put, the GeForce 6100 integrated GPU was stressed out tryin complete a full run of this hard hitting API. 677 3DMarks is a low score, but again this is exceptional for what we are dealing with and the cost of performance is relative to the wallet and bank account. So while the integrated GeForce 6100 - coming out of the box wont be breaking any records any time soon, the fact we have a system that can even pull off this score for such a small investment should awaken any systems integrator or system engineer. Anyone looking for a cheap and affordable and very D3D capable motherboard in this segment should look no further.
For as little as a couple hundred bucks, any system engineer can save any business a bundle with this product. I don't think office environments need a $500.00 video card to run spread sheets, Bejeweled, Leasure Suite Larry, oh wait we did say office environment didn't we. Ok well you get the idea, the MCP51 integrated GeForce 6100 might not run Doom3 at max settings, but we clearly have an abundance of power to play desktop games from PopCap and others. MAME32 runs like a champ on this system, but again the target segment for this product will be the system integrator who wants to put decent performance and ABIT reliability and support into there workstations.

The score we see here is definitely low, coming in at 204, well you get the picture. But are we keeping in mind that not all mother boards are built to run synthetic benchmarks and play games all day long. Sure the biggest market is gaming, but the second biggest is business computing and this is where the NF95 will appeal to the masses. Yeah, the little NF95 struggles here and almost tops out at one frame per second in most of the bench. But this dont effect office duties or web browsing, or someone who just needs a budget system to join the ranks of personal computing.
