Found on techPowerUp! is a review about the Point of View GeForce 7900 GTX 512MB PCIe graphics card. The GeForce 7900 GTX, which is based on the current high end chip from NVIDIA, the G71. The GeForce 7900 eries was introduced during CeBIT this year, and has replaced the old GeForce 7800 series line up. The GeForce 7900 GTX comes clocked at 650MHz which is 100MHz higher then the very rare GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB. On the other hand, the memory clock speed is set at 1.6GHz while the Samsung 1.1ns are rated at 1.8GHz. Another important improvement is the move to the 0.09 micrometer manufacturing process. This means NVIDIA can produce more cores on a wafer, thus reducing the overall price of the GPU.

The card is based on the reference design, with the same two slot cooling solution already found on the GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB. It also has two DVI and a S-Video connector just as with the reference board. At first glance there seems to be nothing different to the design supplied by NVIDIA. Not even the stickers on the heatsink or the 8 cm fan have been changed. The only difference is a small Point of View sticker on the back of the card. The card itself comes at the clock speeds set by NVIDIA for the GeForce 7900 GTX and while other companies like XFX or EVGA offer faster cards.
Point of View has managed to produce a card which has everything you are looking for, right where it counts. You will not find any fancy extras, like lighted fans, unique heatsink designs, custom colored PCB or stickers. You will get performance, just as you would expect from such a high-end card and the games included are new enough to push the card hard to make you notice your investment. So if you are looking for a no gimmicks card, this is definitely the weapon of choice. The biggest downside may be the bad overclocking behavior, but considering other firms charge more, this card still is worth every cent.
