OcPrices has published a review on the ASUS Extreme AX1900 XTX 512MB PCIe graphics card. ASUS was quick out of the traps with a Radeon X1900 XTX variant, and as usual with their video card lines, has provided one of the most professional packages around. The card comes in the now-standard monster-sized ASUS box, into which they have crammed a host of goodies that you wont find from other manufacturers. If you are looking for a reference card with the minimal amount of accessories for the lowest possible price, this isn't the card for you, but if you want a hugely impressive bundle with your purchase, this is definitely worth a look.
ASUS Extreme AX1900 XTX 512MB PCI-E Review
Overclocking the ASUS Extreme AX1900 XTX proved quite a rewarding experience, despite the technology being pushed quite close to the maximum already. We were able to extract a top speed of 720MHz from the core from stock 650MHz and a total increase of 105MHz on the memory from 150MHz to 1760MHz. This yielded an overall improvement in performance of around 10%, proving that the Radeon X1900 architecture scales almost perfectly with clock speed. At £399 the ASUS Extreme AX1900 XTX is some £25 more than some of the cheaper Radeon X1900 XTX cards available.
But given the superb bundle I think this offers extremely good value for money. It is true that some people will be not so interested in what comes in the box aside from the card itself, but then ASUS is not really catering for this market. The bottom line is that you get more goodies for your money from the ASUS than any other Radeon X1900 solution on the market, it offers great overclocking and the performance from ATI's new graphics chipset is truly mighty in the latest titles. If you want the best single video card solution out there right now.
