ByteSector comes with a
review on the Sapphire
Radeon X1300 PRO 256MB PCIe graphics card. Over the past few months, we have
reviewed the two ATI based
mid-range graphics cards from Sapphire. The Radeon X1600 series was an acceptable performer
and proved to be a product worth consideration when upgrading. Sapphire and ATI proved to me that miracles are
possible when I saw the benchmarks for the Radeon X1600 XT. Today I will be
looking at Sapphire's
Radeon X1300 PRO, which fits into the low-range graphics card market. I have
come to expect great things from ATI graphics chipsets, and I am curious to see just what
performance is available from a low-end graphics card these
days.
 Sapphire Radeon X1300 PRO 256MB PCI-E Review
The Sapphire Radeon X1300 PRO is definitely a graphics card that has been designed for non-gamers. The card barely offers the minimum acceptable framerates in some cases, while in others it is completely sub-standard. What this card would be useful for would be a cheap workstation graphics solution or for people who don't need to play 3D games at high resolutions and high quality detail levels. The card itself it fairly quiet and offered some performance that couldn't be found in a competitors version of the Radeon X1300 PRO. If I had to recommend one sub-$100 graphics card, this one would be it.
