ATI prepares to release Radeon X1900 XL variant |

The Inquirer learned that
ATI has two more R580 cards
around the corner. We already spoke about the Radeon X1900 GTO cards that are
scheduled for April and now we learned that ATI has a Radeon X1900 XL in the pipeline. This card is meant
to fight the GeForce 7900 GT, as this card can really outperform even Radeon
X1800 XT cards. We still don't know the clock speeds, but we suspect around a
500MHz plus core clock. At the end of the day it has to end up faster than a
Radeon X1800 XT and GeForce 7900 GT. We can also confirm that the card uses a
single cooler and won't look anything different than the Radeon X1800 XL. But it
has to end up faster.
