Up Close and Personal
It's time to take a closer look at the Speeze RockeTeer 600W power
supply and to dig out some more details about it. The Speeze PSU meets the ATX
standard, which means that the width and height are usually the same, although
the length can vary. This power supply has a nickel coated finish and comes with
a large 120mm silent fan equipped with a crystal blue LED. The RockeTeer 600W is
a solid power supply with a grey shinning glow.

The design of the RockeTeer 600W power supply is rather simple,
though solid and professional. This is a high performance power supply where Speeze has been focusing on being
quiet and cool in operating. I guess we would have liked to see that it would
have been a modular design but this isn't the case. Being a modular design is
currently one the features that is highly appreciated by system builders and who
is doing some upgrades to his PC. Speeze however has not yet taken this road but there have been
some indications that they are working on this for their upcoming power
supplies.

The large 120mm fan used on the RockeTeer 600W PSU comes with a
crystal blue LED light and is covered with a gold color fan grill. The blue LED
will give this PSU an extra pitch. We will provide some extra details of this
PSU in action with the blueish glow. On the back of the power supply we find
back the exhaust that is made with big holes to make sure the hot air can be
pushed out easily. Next to that we also find a power switch on the back.

One of the sides of the RockeTeer 600W comes with a green sticker
that provides the specifications on the power, current and wattage of the power
supply. As already mentioned this 600W PSU comes with two 12V rails each
providing 20A. This will certainly be good for dual graphics card setups that
will require enough current on the 12V rails.

Speeze has only
opted for one fan, but the 120mm fan supplies more than enough air circulation
and keeps the inside of the power supply quite cool. Most of the now standard
power supplies from other brands are coming with dual fans, which in fact end up
in a higher noise level. Since Speeze's goal was to have a silent power supply it is good to
see that one single well designed and controlled fan can also handle the heat
generated by the computer and power supply.

And what about the bottom of the RockeTeer 500W PSU? Well I didn't
want to disappoint you but that is kindly looking like a mirror. Well at least
nothing fancy just plain and simple, but nice polished. Of course when installed
this side will not be show and will always be covered by the PC case. All in all
this PSU looks good and should be quite but of course we still have to see if al
that is true.
