ATI finally gave the green light to its partners and now they can finally introduce Radeon X800SE cards. We know that they were gagging to do that for quite some time.
Sapphire makes noise about X800SE
Sapphire was the first to go public with its X800SE cards at the big PC World shop in Tottenham Court Road, London. Sapphire decided to call these cards
X800SE Hybrid and we still don't know why it chose that name.
Last time we heard about X800SE cards we were told they would run at 425MHz core and 700MHz memory paired with 256 bit interface. The card comes with 128MB
memory and will have eight pipelines. It is interesting to note that this card has six Vertex Shader units while its competitor GeForce 6 6800 SE has only four. It would be interesting to compare them head to head.
The 6800LE has eight pipelines and 128MB memory. It is clocked at 300MHz core and 700MHz memory. |
