The Zalman Package Content Let's have a look what is included within the Zalman package. Next to the Zalman 460W power supply we find not that much in the box. Since this PSU is not a modular design all power cables are non removable and come with the power supply. So the main item we can find is the power supply and next to that some extra cables and manual.
Zalman made a very decent bundle for their ultra quiet 460W PSU. Next to the power supply itself it also provided some extras that we don't see that much with other brands. So before having a look at the ZM460-APS we will check out what Zalman has included on top.
What we found first in the package is the User's Manual that Zalman is providing with the 460W power supply. This manual is small, but very detailed. It comes in only two languages which are English and Korean. Next to that we also gotten a power supply cable with package, which comes in handy to make sure we can power the PSU.
What else have we found? Well we found in total 3 extra cables. Two of those came loose in the box and one is bagged with some screws. The separate cables are a SATA power converter wire, a PCI-Express VGA SLI sub-cable for power conversion and a fan multi-connector (known as ZM-MC1). Components - 1x 460W Power Supply (ZM460-APS)
- 1x Fan Multi-connector (ZM-MC1)
- 1x SATA Power Converter Cable
- 1x PCI-Express VGA SLI sub-Cable for Power Conversion
- 1x Power Cord for AC Power Source
- 1x User's Manual
- 4x Zalman Cable Tie

The fan multi-connector splits up a 4-pin power connection into four fan connections. Two of these splitted 3-pin connectors are providing 12V and the other two only 5V. This can come in handy if you have several fans in your computer case which can now all be powered very easily. And last but not least we have the cables ties that Zalman is supplying in the package. The come in blue color and do com in handy to bundle the power cables together. This will make sure the maze of wires get reduced to a minimum. - CNPS (Computer Noise Prevention System) with Auto Control Cooling Fan
- By implementing heat-sensor circuitry that controls the cooling fan's speed (rpm) in relation to the temperature within the power supply, noise has been greatly reduced.
- CNPS (Computer Noise Prevention System) refers to a system that reduces a conventional computer's noise (30dB or more) to an inaudible level (20dB or less).
- Improving Power Factor & Eliminating Harmonics through Active PFC
- By implementing Active PFC, the power factor (PF) is improved from 75% (Passive PFC) to 96% (230VAC, Full load), while harmful harmonic frequencies are reduced below regulatory requirements.
- High Efficiency Design
- Designed with a high switching frequency and low power-loss circuitry, the efficiency of this product exceeds 80% (230VAC, Full load).
- ATX 20+4-pin Main Connector
- ATX 20+4-pin main connector broadens mainboard compatibility.
- ATX12V CPU (4-pin) & EPS12V CPU (8-pin) Connectors
- Use two ATX12V 2ⅹ2 (4-pin) connectors together to form an EPS12V CPU (8-pin) connector.
- PCI Express Graphic Card Power (6-pin) Connector
- PCI-Express graphics card power connector is provided to high-end graphics card support.
- EZ Grip Connectors for ODD & HDD
- EZ Grip Connectors for ODD & HDD for easy connecting and disconnecting of the plugs.
- Dual +12VDC Output
- Two +12VDC rails output up to 30A combined, providing more stable power to high-end systems.
- Sleeved Cables
- All power cables are sleeved for easy cable management and improved air circulation in the computer's case.
- Certified with International Safety Approvals & EMC Standards
- FCC identifier being SAOZM460-APS.
- Strict DC Voltage Regulation & Low Output Ripple/Noise
- Each DC output had a 0.1μF ceramic capacitor and a 10μF electrolytic capacitor attached as the bypass and the oscilloscope (input impedance 1MΩ) measured the waveforms at 20MHz frequency bandwidth.
