The Snake Pit: (Above) Diamondback Plasma LE & The New Copperhead (Below) Razer Copperhead Compaired Here we have two of the finest precision crafted mouses to come out of the Razer arsenal. The Razer Copperhead™ is basically the same dimensions as the Plasma LE. However you will find the additional side buttons have been lowered to the bottum of chassis next to the thumbs natural rest position. The repositioned buttons on the Copperhead are very comfortable and user friendly. You no longer have to lift your thumb and lose grip integrity while gaming as we found with the Diamondback Series. The arrows point to a very significant button revision. Simply put, Razer lowered the buttons for the Copperhead and relocated them as mentioned above. The results are awesome, giving the user more dexterity and control over manipulating the buttons while steering the mouse. The Copperhead has matured into one mean snake or is that mouse? Software & Performance The Razer Synapse™ software takes full of advantage of every aspect of the Razer Copperhead™. With Razer Synapse™ software you will be able to assign a number of configurations to each of the seven independent control buttons. Take control over the X, Y Master sensetivity, polling rate and switch user DPI settings and more with Razer Synapse™ software.
The Razer Synapse™ software allows you to quickly edit and assign up to five user programmed profiles. This will aid in selecting the configuration for your application and or game titles needs. Simply set the mouse up the way you want and save it to one of five profiles, instantly calling it up when needed. All settings will be saved on Profile you have currently selected Profile and will be available on another computer even without the Synapse Configurator installed. (note: On-The-Fly Sensitivity™ requires the Razer Copperhead™ driver to be installed). Set the polling rate of the Razer Copperhead™: 125hz (8ms), 500hz (4ms) or 1000hz (1ms). Any change to polling rate will only take effect after you reboot your computer. Enable X-Y Master Sensitivity - This must be enabled in order for individual adjustments to X-Y sensitivity to be effective. Turn on/off pointer acceleration and set acceleration level. Acceleration is not recommended for gaming.
Take full advantage of the Copperhead acceleration, Windows pointer speeds, master X & Y sensitivity controls, scroll speeds, double click speeds, button assignment, DPI & polling rates. The Razer Synapse™ software is the perfect companion to the Razer Copperhead High Precision Gaming. Assign buttons as desired. If the button function is not listed, or if you would like to assign a macro, select Assign a Key/Macro from the drop down menu. Macros can be up to 5 characters in length, and Special Keys may be selected from the appropriate sub-menus. Using your Razer Copperhead™ Your Razer Copperhead™ will remember all Razer Synapse™ settings from computer to computer without the need to install software drivers on each computer.
You can switch between the Profiles of your Razer Copperhead™ in 3 ways: i. By selecting the active Profile in the Synapse Configurator, ii. Button programmed via the Synapse Configurator in the Main Window, iii. Profile button, located at the bottom of the mouse. Pressing the Profile button will advance one Profile.
When the active Profile is switched, the Razer Copperhead™ will flash the corresponding number of times (for example, if Profile 3 is activated, the Razer Copperhead™ will flash 3 times to indicate that is the Profile you have selected). It will remember the currently active Profile even if turned off and will boot up in the active Profile. If a button has been assigned to "On-The-Fly Sensitivity™", pressing the assigned button and moving the scroll wheel will produce a bar on the lower right hand corner of your screen, allowing you to dynamically adjust your sensitivity settings in the application. This feature requires the driver to be installed.
