Game Titles Tested

We put the OCZ PC-3200 1024MB Gold GX XTC Edition to the test over the weekend and ran half a dozen game titles and just love the 2048MB capacity, it really is in the best interest of everyone to start migrating to larger capacity ram and what better way to do than with a dual channel pack fo these bad boyz. Our gaming experience is always awesome with 2048MB configurations and this ram is no exception either. Our titles ran excellent, take a look at some of the games we put this ram through.

Quake 4, well, isn't every bodies favorite, but it sure does continue a legacy of that spans almost a decade and with the OCZ PC-3200 1024MB Gold GX XTC Edition in our rig running at DDR-400, this game title never got the hick-ups. This title demands large capacity extended ram storage and at 2048MB you will not bottle neck at the ram level, what so ever!

COD probably the most played series of all series and is another demanding title that benefits from large capacity ram. I love this game and played it over the weekend with both 1024MB dual channel and 2048MB dual channel configurations. What I found out was if you didnt know any better 1024MB can get you by, but after using 2048MB and seeing how well the frames stabalize and becomes smooth, full motion, flicker free performance, then one realizes the difference.

Again Serious Same er Sam, hehe, is a different strokes feel to it, I like the title just fine but dont find myself coming back to it as much, allthough I tested the ram with this game title, I found, like common sense, that load times are faster and graphics are smoother with the OCZ PC-3200 1024MB Gold GX XTC Edition Dual Channel Kit.

Hah! Battlefield 2 Special Forces is my favorite game of all time and I play this title enough to know what tweaking works and what dont. When you play a killer title then you get to know how the game reacts to your system and when you put 10 hours a week on a game then you know what I mean. Having been said the Battlefield 2 series is one demanding game title and 2048MB is essential to world class performance with this title. No doubt about it.

The Medal of Honor series is an epic tail of life on the battle front of WWII and I like playing this series and decided to keep this aging title on hand to just give me an idea if older titles can benefit from newer technology and in this case the title runs just fine using the Gold GX XTC Edition Dual Channel Kit. However the title also runs decent on 1024MB configurations, so here we dont see a huge leap in difference. Well this about puts the wraps on it.
