Everest Benchmarks & Feedback Now we will grab some sample information from Everest Ultimate Edition and get some feed back on the rams performance. Lavalys was nice enough to allow us to evaluate there software for this review. I really like the wealth of information this utility gives us and we thank Lavalys for there support.

Again we are using a totally default configuration for that true out of the box experience. No tweaking or over clocking will be done for these tests, we want to know what’s up with these modules at bone stock! After we tested with RMMA, we rebooted the system to refresh the resources and just because we wanted too, so that we can get the optimum performance without tweaking the system. Having rebooted, we loaded up and got these results which are fantastic under default settings, check it out... Memory Read Results Wow, right off the bat we get some nice scores running at a DDR-400 default setting. In fact this score beats the Platinum series score at 200 MHz HTT that we seen last month. Everest reports that we pulled off a nice 5857 MB/s under the memory read test. Granted it's only an 82 MB/s faster, but still faster is faster right?
Memory Write Results The Write results are a little different, here we see 2108 MB/s of throughput, this is 172 MB/s off the platinum scores, but this is still very fast ram. Don't let the fact the Platinum series is faster, scare you, it's suppose to be. ;-) But to keep things into perspective, this is very fast for 2048MB Dual Channel kit.
Memory Latency Results The latency results are right up there with the best of them, as you can see the OCZ PC-3200 1024MB Gold GX XTC Edition puts the 2-2-2-5 configurations into contention and competes right along side lower latency modules. Pretty impressive in deed. At 47.3ns running a 2.5-3-3-8 proves this ram is super stable and super fast!
This ram is super responsive at default settings, its fast and very stable and outclasses some 2-2-2-5 configurations. The OCZ PC-3200 1024MB Gold GX XTC Edition is showing excellent signs of raw performance right out of the box. With this in mind one can simply stuff the ram and benefit from the capacity and performance.
