Performance & Benchmarks Continued... Now we will grab some sample information from Everest Ultimate Edition and get some feed back on the rams performance. Lavalys was nice enough to allow us to evaluate there software for this review. I really like the wealth of information this utility gives us and we thank Lavalys for there support.
Everest Memory Read The OCZ EB DDR PC-4000 2x1024MB Platinum Edition pulls of some great scores in deed, again we are seeing some slight advantanges over the Mushkin ram we debuted last month. Again, our test consisted of firing up the system with all our processes running in the back ground, 30 to be exact, everything on default with stock timings and voltages. We left our firewalls and anti-virus up and left an open connection to the ADSL connection and ran these test. The OCZ ram kicked off a 5775MB/s score on a synthetic measurement. This makes this ram the fastest 2GB kit we have stuffed in this nF4 SLI-DR configuration. We can clearly see the large density modules are indeed coming of age and are offering speeds and performance of 2x 512MB configurations. This is fast stuff!
Everest Memory Write Again we see impressive scores with the write sequence, here we get a solid 2280MB/s of constant write allocations to the OCZ EB DDR PC-4000 2x 1024MB Platinum Edition ram. Still this ram is slightly ahead of the game as far as a rough comparisons between the two mack daddy ram reviews. No rebooting was done, we just went from one test to the next and this is what we got.
Well 2280MB/s is no joke, we see a significant improvement over our last test specimens and for the fact we are seeing these numbers, is a true fact to OCZ Technology is ahead of their game. Anyway one looking to increase there extended ram capacity, should consider an OCZ purchase! Now that we got an idea of out of the box performance, let's crank this system up and just see what we can do with this ram under some extreme over clocking...
