iTurbo Benchmarks

Amazingly we are seeing excellent results using the iTurbo and the effective engine clock of 500MHz and memory clock of 1GHz. What we are seeing here is a huge increase in performance at the same clock rating of the Radeon X800 GT we sampled a couple months back. This is because the R480 core is much more stable at these clocks. Not to take away from the Radeon X800 GT, but the fact is the R480 core is much more stable at the iTurbo over clock of 500MHz - 1GHz and we are seeing a huge jump in performance over the X800 GT sample.

HIS iTurbo v1.4.1 @ 500MHz Engine - 1GHz Memory

Let's fire up iTurbo to get some extra performance out of the HIS X800 GTO. This time we set the default clock speeds as advertised by HIS for their GTO version, namely 500MHz core and 1GHz memory speed. We should see some better numbers now.

With around 2100 increase in points, I think the numbers speak for themselves. This is a huge leap thats do in part of the fast and stable R480 core. The system was fast and ran flawless, I was rather suprised at the fact we broke 10,000 with ease! The 12-pipe GTO core just loves to be clocked at higher speeds and prooves that by spitting out excellent 3DMark scores.

Again a 600 and more points increase by simply clicking one single button from the HIS iTurbo software. This card is really starting to stand out and I suspect this card will be capable of even more headroom. As 3DMark05 is more dependant on the graphics core this really indicated that the 12-pipe GTO has more to it then reaches the eye.

Aquamark 3 once again confirms our statement, the HIS X800 GTO IceQ II Turbo just loves to be clocked a bit higher which results in about 2200 extra points in total or an increase of around 600 point for the GFX. This card is just screaming for more and we will proove this in our next overclocking attempt.
