Note the Difference

Because Sharkoon introduced a new concept when it comes to fans, and more specifically to the fan blades this deserves some extra thoughts on what has been accomplished. The Silent Eagle product range uses a unique surface structure in comparison with conventional fans which allows a better airflow at the same rotation speed. So how is that done you may ask?

Well to explain all that you actually have to know a but more on aero dynamics. By using fan blades which have a surface texture of a golf ball, the same logic as why a golf ball has dimples applies to the Silent Eagle range. The surface roughness caused the flow to transition from laminar to turbulent. By using this dimples texture we get instead of a laminar flow over the fan blades a turbulent flow which is more efficient and has more energetic value.

Sharkoon actually used the same logic that goes behind the design of a golf ball and put it to use on their new Silent Eagle 2000 fan. Sharkoon's innovation will surely be something to watch out for as somehow this might be followed by other brands designing high quality fans.

Final Thoughts

The Silent Eagle just blows! It simply outperforms any other fan within the same category and this at almost silent noise levels. You have to give it to Sharkoon, they just went further then the competition and re-invented the 80mm fan. Who would have imagined that dimples of a golf ball would be benefitial for a fan?

You have to hand it to Sharkoon, the fan is excellent and does what it says. It pushes more air then any other fan at similar speeds en reduces the noise to almost silent operation by lowering the turbulence and air resistance. Fan blades with a texture of a golf ball is just what the doctor asked for. Innovation at the basics!

MVKTech highly recommends this product for those who want the best of everything. Reduced noise levels with improved airflow are just keywords that are on everyone's lips these days. So basically, Sharkoon made it possible without any decrease on performance. You just can't ignore their Silent Eagle range.

So what can be done for the future? What would you feel about a speed adjustable fan, with LED and available in more colors and sizes? Somehow that is just what it takes. Sharkoon currently has this Silent Eagle available in 2 version, the Silent Eagle 1000 and Silent Eagle 2000. The Silent Eagle 2000 can be found at around $9.99.
