Taiwanese firm XGI presented to a large number of system builders and integrators over the last two days with success, while its arch competitors nVidia and ATI could not be even bothered to tip up.
XGI outfaces ATI and nVidia
Giving a whole new meaning to coupling, sorry partnering. While XGI pursued its tridentine trail patiently explaining how much its Volari products cost to the channel, to quite a bit of acclaim, we noticed, ATI and nVidia drew criticism from dealers here for not even making an effort.
ATI, according to a Gartner document, was supposed to be here, but maybe Dublin isn't exactly its cup of tea.
nVidia is pursuing new channels in China.
XGI patiently outlined it strategy, but rather than be bored by this sort of stuff, Taiwanese chaps and chapesses suggested we trip the light fantastic by its booth and take some snaps. |
