System Boot-Up & Initial Operations On system power up the Hiper PSU glows blue do in part to the cooling fans. Each fan has blue LED's that light up the inside of our case, while over all the PSU offers low noise and looks good in our Cooler Master case with its mirror like finish and blue LED cooling fans. I think the over all effect is great looking, with the system up and running lets look at Hiper PSU a little bit more.
Let's start of with providing you all immediately with a view on the exterior part of the Hiper PSU. The blueish glow lights up the back of our Cooler Master case to the outside world. But there is more then just the outside light emission. Namely the interior aspect should also be considered. And although our Cooler Master case doesn't come with a window side panel, we don't want to retain the inside looks... The most eye catching in this image is actually the mesh 1mm perforated steel that is enlighted by the blue glow.
The interior of our case is enclosed by a soft blue haze. The shiny mirror finish of the Hiper Type-R 580W power supply amplifies this effect even more by spreading the light in all directions. The blue LED's of the 120mm fan brings this extra dimension to live. Hiper couldn't have made a better choice... Japanese steel, mirror glance and blue LED's, it just does it all.
Yeah I know I should have gone for another case fan instead of the Sharkoon Silent Eagle, but well I just love this fan... It is quiet and moves more air then any other fan. Of course a transparent fan with blue LED would have been more appropriate, but who cares the Hiper PSU already lights up most of the space.
The PSU now has us at the Windows desktop and we can start a few re-boot sequences and perform forced shut downs. Kind of stress test the PSU using illegal shut down procedures just to see what kind of stability the PSU can handle. For example - instant on and off's and other unconventional methods that might over stress a PSU. We will test these procedures after we get some Everest feedback on the power rails, let's have a look...
