Final Thoughts

Hiper's attention to small details makes this product stand out. The proprietary BNC style connectors are industrial strength positive locking connectors, giving you the most secure cable system in existence. The cable system is excellent for reducing case clutter and the mass of wires associated with custom hi-performance gaming rigs. Thus most cases benefit from better air circulation as a result and in effect, reducing ambient case temperatures.

The Hiper color scheme is awesome to say the least. The blue cables and red 4-pin connectors are unique and offer great visual effects to enhance the looks of any rig. Though the power supply does not have many control features, like adjustable fans, it offers stable voltages and is just about silent so most consumers will have no reason to complain. And on top of that, the modular cable system is the best I have seen this year and performs very well for the price!

Overall the entire package, the product, performance and proprietary cable system puts this PSU in a class by itself. This is a really nice PSU and should be on anyone's short list of computer upgrades. The stable power will keep a system at bay by providing enough current that will energize your hardware with stable power. On an ending note, Hiper offers the Type-R 580W in four different colors, namely blue, black, red and silver. Were the red and silver editions have just recently been introduced. Hiper made sure that each of use can get his favorite colored power supply.
