The Package, what's in the Box?

What is included in the Hiper Type-R HPU-4B580 package? Next to the plastic Tupperware like toolbox and tray, we find the different cables (power and extension), the Hiper owner's manual and last but not least the power supply itself. When unpacking each of these different items are well protected by plastic foam protection inlays.

A very decent package all together from Hiper with all the different items lined up. Before we go into more details about the power supply itself, we thought it would be wise to also take a look at the complete content of the package.

Our starting point will be what most you might check first... Yeps indeed, the User Manual or the Owner's Manual as Hiper is calling it. The black/grey silver embossed manual does look fantastic and professional. It provides information on the PSU, voltages, current, noise, etc and a wiring list for each of the plugs. All in all a decent manual from Hiper in contrast with the one pager most brands included with their power supply. Next to that we also wanted to show you the toolbox tray that comes with the Hiper Type-R power supplies.

The cables come in sealed plastic bags bundling sets of cables. Each bag of cables can be opened and closed again. I must admit that Hiper knows how to package their products. Each of these plastic bags is of the same size and fits one or more cables.

The first set of wires are the power connection cables. These will be connected to the power supply and guide the current to the different PC components. A second set consists of power splitters and extension cables which can be used depending on the needs to divide the power over more then one device. These are called ExTender™ cables by Hiper. All cables come with a blue coating with UV sensitivity.
