The Hiper Box So what did we get exactly from Hiper? And no not just the PSU in a plain paperboard package, but a bit more and with a bit more style. Let's find out and see what we mean with the Hiper box...
The package received from Hiper came in a paperboard box. Opening the paperboard box we find a plastic box just like you would find it on the shelves at your local store. This box is protected and covered by a transparent foil.
After removing the foil we actually get a much better view of the package itself which resembles like a Tupperware box. It offers though very decent protection for the PSU during shipping and transportation. The plastic box comes with a flip lock on the front like a toolbox and a handle on top. Can you be more innovative?
So what can you expect when opening the Hiper box? That's an easy one, by unlocking the grip and opening the lid of the box the content gets exposed. Inside we have a tray with compartments which holds some of the modular cables. The nice thing about this box is that you can actually re-use if once the power supply is installed.
The cables laying on the tray are the modular power cables. These are in total 6 cables that you can connect to the PSU. These also have a different design then we have seen on other modular power supplies and they remind me a bit of coaxial network connections.
When removing the black top tray, the manual and power supply gets discovered. And the remaining space in the box is filled with the expansion cables. The cables are splitters that will fit the main modular power cables which need to be connected to the power supply.
