IceQ II Ultraviolet

The X800 GT IceQ II Turbo edition is UV sensitive and provides huge eye candy for those who like the UV look. We certainly do and this is why our rig is equipped with the latest UV sensitive hardware. Amazingly the X800 GT IceQ II Turbo matches our blue UV fans and looks smashing with the rest of the gear. At night time with the lights off, the X800 GT IceQ II Turbo and the rest of the hardware stands out and looks superb with the UV reactive IceQ II cooling system.

Once we powered up the UV lighting you can really see what this card is capable of. The blue UV reactive IceQ II cooling system looks really good in our system and makes the surrounding hardware stands out big time. The Blue UV matches our blue fans and gives our rig a dynamite look.

The HIS X800 GT IceQ II Turbo and our DFI board compliments each other as the yellow UV slots enforce the effects of the over all color scheme the UV lighting gives our rig. The yellow's, blue's and green's, glow nicely together giving our rig a personal touch and its own character.

And a closer shot shows the profile of the IceQ II cooling system. Again the yellow expansion slots glow brightly by the UV components coming from the HIS X800 GT IceQ II Turbo. I must say this looks totally awesome and I can’t get enough of the effects it has on the over all rig. When we turn out the lights at night and put on our clear side panel, the effects are amazing.

The X800 GT IceQ II Turbo's impeller design offers very low noise and operates at near silence. Even when you enable the iTurbo mode the IceQ II operates at near silence and the UV effects are just the same. The amount of glow is determined by the power of your UV lamps. We used just two 12" sticks and while we consider the UV power kind of limited, brighter systems will have brighter effects and more of a reaction, producing a brighter glow. Imagine if we have 4 sticks of UV tubes?

The HIS X800 GT IceQ II Turbo looks awesome in our test rig. The IceQ II UV reactive housing gives off a bright blue glow matches our theme and gives the rig a really killer look at night with the UV bulbs burning. I love the UV effects and what it does for our rig. I think it looks outstanding and provides an entirely different look at night. While we provided a full page of the UV capabilities, you maybe are wondering about the gaming power and performance? I think its time we load up the drivers and software and get and glimpse of what kind of performance we can get with all this eye candy.
