H20-120-64T™ for AMD® Athlon™64 processors
Introduction
For almost 5 years running, Swiftech has led the way by spearheading innovation and design, proliferating and dominating aftermarket thermal cooling solutions. Swiftech specializes in three categories of cooling products: air, liquid, and thermoelectric. Today, Swiftech continues to develop and manufacture high-end, high quality CPU coolers above and beyond ISO9001 standards that suite enthusiast's and overclocker's the world over. The top of the line cooling solution that Swiftech offers, is without a doubt, the thermoelectric liquid cooling kits.
Combining thermoelectric technology & water cooling is Swiftech's high end achievement, allowing each component to compliment each other to produce one of the best alternative cooling systems to date. Let's explain some function and theory behind what makes this thing tick.
Understanding The TEC
Thermoelectric cooling is based on the Peltier effect. In brief, the dynamics of the Peltier effect is caused by the way electrons speed up and slow down between two conductive plates or semiconductors. The speed of the electrons are determined by an electrical current as well as the size and characteristics of the semiconductor's used.

Here we can see an example of the typical configuration of a p- and n- type semiconductor design. The semiconductors are placed between copper conducting plates, separated by ceramic isolators with positive and negative power leads for energizing the thermoelectric process. When energized with an electrical current, the electrons bounce around the p-, n- semiconductors causing an increase and decrease in kinetic energy output which simulates the polarity of resistance causing a hot and cold buffer to discharge between the elements.
Now we end up with a very cold side and a very hot side, this is the cause and effect of the Peltier process. The water cooling is integrated into this kit to facilitate the cooling of the cold plate while the cold side of the TEC module is doing it's job cooling the CPU. So in effect the thermoelectric module is cooling the CPU and the water coolant in return, cools off the thermoelectric module's cold plate.
Swiftech includes a massive 226Watts 25A at 12V thermoelectric module which is capable of up to 50°C drop in processor operating temperature. Needless to say this is a huge drop in temperatures and with Swiftech combining this Peltier style cooler and integrated water cooling system, you can be sure you are getting state of the art technology that will ultimately bring your CPU to near freezing temperatures. Now that we had a crash course in thermoelectric's, let's see what's inside the box...

The Package
The 12" x 12" x 10" box weighing in at 14.7lbs. is stuffed with goodies. Peeling off the first layer of bubble wrap, we can see the 37 page H20-120T tutorial and installation guide. The guide is filled with robust information and picture illustrations giving the user a complete understanding of what to expect and how to install this kit.

But what lies under the manual and bubble wrap? Let's uncover the content of what is included in this Swiftech H20-120T cooling kit package and remove the plastic bubble cover.
Getting past the packing material, we can now see the ClearFlex 60 premium tubing. Just under the ClearFlex we can see the diaelectric grease, the conformal coating, and one of the radiator assemblies along with the reservoir.
Once we took out the upper layer of accessories, we are now down to the boxes and can see the pump, the power supply and both radiators. Let's not forget the thermoelectric cooler and a bottle of genuine Swiftech HydrX water coolant which is UV reactive.
Our kit is designed for the AMD Athlon64 socket 939 platform which includes the MCW5002-64T™ liquid-cooled thermoelectric assembly as well as the MCP655 pump, the MCRES-525™ 5 1/4" Drive bay reservoir, MCR120-FBRB Radiator/fan and "Radbox" assembly. Dissipation of the thermal load is achieved using both the MCR120-FBRB Radiator/RadBox and the MCR120-FB 120 mm radiator. Yes two radiators are included!
What you see is what you get. This is the entire contents of the box, everything is included to install this kit. With that in mind, at this time, it is a good idea to compare the manifest with the contents and make sure this kit is shipped with everything list and the contents are in safe working order.
This 37 page guide shows excellent illustrations and information that covers all platform standards that are currently in use by many end users. On the right we get six feet of ClearFlex 60 which is premium lab grade tubing.
