Gamers-Depot has send
word about their review on the Albatron GeForce 6800GT. With so many choices of add-in board
makers producing nVidia-based
cards, it can be a real whirlwind when deciding which one to go with.
Taiwan-based Albatron is
looking to get your attention with its offerings by selling them at competitive
pricing and bundles.
Albatron GeForce 6800GT Review
Albatron – named after the Albatross birds – is a value-based hardware company that produces a variety of hardware from motherboards to VGA cards to
computer displays. One of the main reasons they’ve garnered so much good press over the last 12 months or so is because of their ability to produce good
products at good prices.
Build to the exacting standards of the nVidia
reference design, this 6800GT differs in that it doesn't have dual DVI but keeps the single power connector, same style of GPU Cooler and offers an Albatron-branded decal on the heatsink. The DDR chips are covered by the heatsink which helps them keep cool under heavy loads and overclocking.
Performance of this card is right on the mark for a 6800GT class card, and gets even better with some overclocking behind it. It runs great under heavy
loads, and is priced to sell.
To the point, we still stand by our stance
that the 6800GT is the best bang for the buck going right now and companies like Albatron prove why we feel that way. It offers best-of-class performance in just
about every benchmark out there and in our opinion should be in the crosshairs of high-end gamers everywhere.
Albatron's 6800GT represents an overall
good value with regards to their competitors. Even though companies like BFG clock theirs higher out of the box, you can do the same thing here – just have to use a utility to get the job done. It's bundle could be a lot better if they don't want to compete on clock rate – Duke Nukem Manhattan? Comon', at least throw in a game that utilizes the technology the GPU supports. |
