Accessories & Bundle
The DFI LANParty has one of the most lucrative bundles in the business, ranging from PC Transpo, FrontX, to UV round cables, four Serial ATA connectors, thermal paste and a host of other accessories. Here is what you can expect from a DFI LANParty bundle.
This is one huge bundle with everything included for complete setup and configuration of the SLI-DR mother-board. With over a dozen packaged accessories, drivers, software and installation documentation, you will have everything needed to install and configure this board, right out of the box!
 
Here we have a close up of the bundle, showing the entire contents of what is included. Now we get an understanding of what’s involved and included in the big green retail box you will get when purchasing this mother-board. UV cable after UV cable, a bunch of FrontX cables that allow you patch different ports into the 5.25" device bay's panel, drivers and installations guides, you get the picture...
The standard for this bundle, comes complete with round cables for a floppy drive, two IDE standard double device round cables, four Serial ATA cables and you get two Serial ATA power connectors to aid in hard drive installations that require Serial ATA power requirements.
 
Here is the documentation and software included with the DFI LANParty nF4 SLI-DR. You get a users manual, SLI features booklet, a floppy with RAID drivers for configuring your system for RAID setups, you get CD with all the drivers necessary for complete installation of the mother-board, with drivers for the nF4 mother-board chip set drivers, Audio, drivers. On the upper right picture shows the I/O panel, Karajan 8.1 audio card riser, the DFI LANParty SLI connector, the VGA select jumper tool and jumpers. Included with the software package is, Active Armor, nVRAID and NVIDIA nTune.
NVIDIA nTune is the ultimate utility for accessing, monitoring, and adjusting your system components, including temperature and voltages with clear, user-friendly control panels. Overclock your system for highest performance or underclock it for near silent operation. All changes are performed within the Microsoft Windows interface – enabling full functionality without the need to make changes in the BIOS and reboot your system.
CMOS Reloaded is especially helpful to over clockers who go through the tiresome trial and error process of repeatedly changing the BIOS settings to achieve an ideal overclock.
These settings are stored in the EEPROM, which is divided into 5 banks - the back-up bank and the 4 user defined banks. This is a smart way to save your overclocking settings. You can store up to 4 individuals settings. CMOS reloaded allows you to save different configurations and when needed, allows you to conveniently restore one of these previously saved settings.
FrontX is a front panel port system that will allow any system to convert to front panel access. Modular design allows you to configure what ports you want to be ported to front panel. Unlimited expansion capabilities, MIC, USB, Firewire, Speaker, etc., anything goes.
PC Transpo is a transportation strap that allows you to safely and conveniently carry your tower to a lanparty or other event. Fully adjustable to accommodate most tower cases. Heavy duty nylon straps with Mil-Spec quick release locking connector’s makes this one tough transportation system.
 
 
PC Transpo is a transportation dream come true. It is very rugged, very well constructed you and you will be totally confident using PC Transpo. There is nothing weak about this item, its rock steady and will secure just about any rig for transportation.
SLI Configuration Tool is a handy pair of jumper pliers that allow you to jump the VGA Select to enable single or SLI mode video configuration. We will point out how to use this tool later on in the review, in the mean time the tool is a standard jumper puller found in technicians tool kits on sale across the globe.
 
If you look closer or expand the pictures above, you can see the hooks that will fit into the jumpers on the VGA Select and allow you to remove the jumper pins easily and effectively. Again while this is a common tool found in specialized technicians computer repair kits, DFI includes this for you, making the configuration process fast and painless. Well there you have it, this is most of the accessories that will compliment the DFI LANParty nF4 SLI-DR.
The Karajan 8.1 Channel high definition audio riser card. This riser audio card packs a serious audio punch with the use of the Azalia 24-bit audio chip by Intel. This audio riser card will maximize your audio experience with crystal clear true Dolby Surround sound and supports THX audio codec. More on the riser card later, now we are going to get familiar with the motherboard and its features...
 
We will get into the aspects of this audio card as we dip into the review and get familiar with the accessories and add-on's that come with this board. Next in line is the included sleeve kit and then on to some technical aspects.
LANParty UV Sleeving Kit:
DFI includes an Orange/Red UV Sleeving kit. Great for reducing wire mess and clutter. Improved airflow reduces heat.
