TV Tuner and Video Capabilities
The ATI Multimedia Center gives you the flexibility to watch your favorite television channels, play your favorite videos via file player, listen to FM stereo or listen to your favorite music artist with a very easy to use interface. Let's take a look at the software package and features of the Tuner.

Setting up the TV Tuner is quite easy. Right clicking the TV screen gives the user instant access to a configuration menu in which you can set display size, aspect ratio, scheduling, zooming and a setup page. The setup page will allow you to search for channels, adjust video color, contrast and brightness. You will also have control over closed captions, video and TV settings. The channels are accessible from the remote control or the keyboard.

The ALL-IN-WONDER X800 XT has superior TV Tuner capabilities whether you choose to view the tuner in window or full screen mode. Below shows the power of the ATI Theater 200 in full screen, the picture quality is bright, clear and clean. We used a typical cable service coax and connected our cable to the ALL-IN-WONDER and this what we got with the setup - a beautiful picture with amazing clarity and performance, the audio and video is synchronized and tracks perfectly.

The ALL-IN-WONDER X800 XT is definitely a multi-featured multimedia card offering plenty of entertainment for the entire family. I love the fact I can watch TV and play the latest game titles with excellent performance and features, making this the most versatile multimedia cards I have seen. I really like the craftsmanship and functionality with this card. It is simply amazing!

Adjust the volume, change channels, pause and record live TV and use features like TV on Demand, TV Magazine and closed captions. This TV Tuner allows you play the TV right on your desktop in full screen and or any size you choose. You can also hide the TV frame and controls, so just the TV is displayed on the desktop.
Video Encoder and Decoders
Some other key aspects that this card is capable of includes:
Capturing video from devices such as camcorders and VHS tapes and devices is another feature that stands out. Because of the comb filtering techniques of the Theater 200, the capturing and storing of video is decoded and interpreted with excellent quality by de-interlacing filters which filters on a per pixel basis and this results in excellent imagery and video output.

This was a real time capture from our old and outdated VHS machine. While the clarity and quality is directly related to the VHS tape - wear and tear and the over all quality of our Panasonic 4-head VCR, I decided to clean the heads and insert a new Maxell 120Min VHS tape and record several minutes of TV and play it back using the ALL-IN-WONDER X800 XT to capture the video in real time. What you see is what you get.
*Note* Compressing the above captured images in *.jpg format changes the over all image quality and therefore the pictures should be used for illustration purposes only.
Our hardware limitations should not reflect over all quality as the fact our VHS player is not the best thing going and has seen its better days, this is merely to show you the capabilities.
Moving right along, other advancements in the X800 XT architecture allows acceleration of decoding WMV9 content as well, significantly lowering the work load of the system CPU. Let's take a look at how the CPU load is greatly reduced using advanced video processing techniques.
The Theater 200 is responsible for offloading encoding, decoding and comb filtering techniques that greatly reduce CPU consumption. This greatly improves system performance during video play back.

The ALL-IN-WONDER X800 XT has built in support to accelerate the most popular movie formats. The combination of 3D graphics, video encoding and decoding, Microtune TV Tuner and video capturing capabilities, gives this card a huge leap in user convenience and functionality by integrating these technologies in one complete package. The Theater 200 proves once again that it has what it takes to make this card come alive.
