Now that we checked out some of the TV and video functionality and the software bundle benefits, lets take a look at the game titles we are going to use to see what kind of gaming performance we can expect to see...
Utilizing 16 parallel 3D rendering pipelines, each supporting Pixel Shader 2.0 at full speed. HyperZ HD improves performance in higher resolutions with new improved compression algorithms including Doubled Z compression at 8:1 with a maximum buffer of 2MB allowing compression of games up to 1920 x 1080 resolution. Temporal Anti-Aliasing engine allows an increase the number of AA samples per pixel of up to 12xAA.
Capable of crunching up to 200 GigaFLOPS, with Vertex Pipelines of up to 37GFLOPS and pixel pipelines of up to 163 GFLOPS, creates a high performance 3D graphics experience on top of the TV Tuner, Video capabilities and features found on a single card. Let's check out some benchmarks.
For our test we are using stock VPU timings and stock CPU settings, however the ram is set to 2-2-2-5 at 200MHz FSB. Default ram was 2-3-2-6, so we wanted some better FSB performance and this is what we got. Let's check out some Battlefield 2...

We used the default CATALYST drivers included with the AIW package. The mother board was fully updated with the latest Hyperion 4 n 1 drivers. Our results are great and show that an aging system can still benefit from a card like this, granted we are CPU limited in some instances, however the performance is better than that rig has ever seen or will see. After all that's been said and done, I think this card offers plenty of performance and features not found anywhere else on the market. To have a graphics card do so much, it literally has changed the way I use the computer.
Results are averages based on FRAPS and should not be taken as over-all performance. We tested samples from each game several times before compiling the information. These are the results you might expect from a similar system, however these scores are not final in anyway. They are averages and meant to taken as such.
