Game Benchmarks:
The game benches are going to be an out of the box real world approach. Basically we are going to bench with default settings using stock system memory timings, stock core and memory timings of the TurboCache thus, absolutely no out of spec over-clocking was done, giving out of the box results.
While a lot of enthusiast's will over-clock there systems to the hilt, we wanted to focus on performance for those who do not over-clock or for those who do not want to void warranties and have no interest in doing so. Having been said we want to simulate the effects of a newcomer buying a system, then buying a game and providing those results, so thats the testing methodology we are going to run with.

Half Life 2 performance on our rig is a bit of a suprise and we ran the test several times to make sure what we are seeing was not some fluke. However it seems as if the game is very efficient using our configuration and the 800 x 600 results are well above our expectations, creating a very playable game with enough power to enjoy the title without any hick-ups.

The e-GeForce 6200 TurboCache handles this game at 1024 x 768 very well, while at this resolution we did have some stutters in some parts of the game, the experience at this resolution was above satisfactory and we are real suprised the TurboCache handles this game as well as it does.

Doom 3 takes a huge hit in performance do to fact the game title uses extensive stencil buffering techniques for shadowing putting more of a load on the 4 pixel pipelines utilized on the 6200 GPU.

The TurboCache handles Doom 3 at 800 x 600 sufficiently under medium settings, however when you lay into the effects and crank up the IQ the card slows considerably. We found the sweet spot for this title is 800 x 600 with medium settings.

At 1024 x 768 Doom 3 puts a definate load on the TurboCache, the game title is playable but under heavy fight scenes the card would buckle under the pressure, however the game is very playable at this resolution using medium settings. With the game settings set to high quality I experienced frame flickering and significant frame rate drop, so we do not recommend playing this title at these settings.

The TurboCache runs Far Cry a bit better as compaired to Doom 3 however the sweet spot for the best performance on our configuration seems to be a 800 x 600 resolution. For those who have smaller monitors or a strick budget limiting there hardware purchase the TurboCache does one hell of a job at lower screen resolutions.

At 800 x 600 Far Cry is very playable with medium settings, we are very pleased with the over all game play under medium settings. When we stepped up the IQ the game dipped in performance, stuttering and some flickering appeared under up close in game fighting scenes. Intense fight scenes would cause definate lag in performance and we feel again that 800 x 600 resolution is the sweet spot for this card.

As we crank up the resolution we see significant drop in performance, while still playable using 1024 x 768 and high settings produced less than desirable results, however for a entry level card to even handle this title with medium settings and this resolution, we are very pleased to say the Turbocache can and will play todays game titles with excellent results considering.
