Benchmarks:

As you can see we are going to test this card with the included ForceWare 71.25 drivers to get an idea of what kind of performance we are going to get. While the card has an onboard local memory of 64MB the NVIDIA properties sheet shows we have 256MB available from the system.

As common practice at MVKTech we start first with some synthetic benchmarks suites, namely Aquamark3 and Futuremark (3DMark03/05). These will immediately provide a good view on how the EVGA e-GeForce 6200 TurboCache video card is performing. So let's dig into some of the results...

I guess most of you will now say, only 22913 as a score in Aquamark3... And yes we are all used to seeing higher scores and that is simply as we are used to the scores of those very nice high-end cards that only those with a huge budget can afford. But for the GeForce 6200 TC this is not a bad score at all. You have to put it in the right perspective. This is a budget card that is based on the GeForce 6 series and therefore has the same features as the mainstream and high-end cards. This includes the Shader Model 3.0 and DirectX 9.1c.

The 3DMark03 results are done at stock speeds, which are 350/550MHz for the e-GeForce 6200 TurboCache. This results in a score of 2715 3DMarks. This is around the same score as the GeForce FX5600 Ultra, but again the GeForce 6200 has full DirectX 9.1c support which is lacking on the GeForce FX Series.

On to the 3DMark05 results, which show that the GeForce 6200 GPU is doing better when it comes to the new 3D possibilities and DirectX performance against the older GeForce FX series. Basically the GeForce 6200 blows away the GeForce FX5700 and FX5800 and can hold his stand against the GeForce FX5900 series.

With Sandra SiSoft we ran the Multimedia Benchmark which return a normal score in comparison with similar systems.

These graphs represent the independent test conducted by NVIDIA of there reference design 6200 TurboCache using a Intel 915 chipset mother-board and a 3.0GHz Intel Pentium 4. These test are composed with the 32 and 16MB variant of the TurboCache series.
