Using the nForce 4 platform the PowerColor X800XL rips off even better performance using this configuration. Using FRAPS we can see a significant increase in FPS over Test Rig No.1. The AMD Athlon 3500+ Winchester is with out doubt contributing to the excellent results we are seeing a crossed the board. Let's check out UT2004 under the nForce4. However, remember that these results are not static and should not be taken as anything other than this is what our system can achieve using this hardware. We used the map Onslaught Torlan while online and WYSIWG.

800 x 600, Application Preferences, (High) 77.617FPS Average

1024 x 768, Application Preferences, (High) 72.017 FPS Average

1280 x 1024, Application Preferences, (High) 54.500 FPS Average

Here we can see that the AMD system runs this game very well at this setting and gives exceptional 3D image quality while maintaining a very decent amount of frames per second.

Here's the bottom line:

  • 800 x 600: 77.617 FPS
  • 1024 x 768: 72.017 FPS
  • 1280 x 1024: 54.50 FPS
