Final Thoughts

The Thermaltake Armor is an enthusiasts case with excellent design which facilitates ease of use allowing user conveniences a crossed the board. What is so appealing about the Armor is the excellent cross flow ventilation. Because of Armor’s front bezel design along with the enlarged top exhaust port, the Armor is one of the coolest cases going. The case is also optimized for several kinds of thermal management:

Air Cooling

Enthusiasts, who enjoy air cooling, will like the mega air flow the case is designed to provide. Armor allows for three 12 cm fans to be installed up front in the drive bay area for maximum intake efficiency. Utilizing 90 cm & 120 cm fans Armor gets the job done right out of the box.

Water Cooling

Tech-heads who like to have more exotic cooling will love the fact that Armor is very friendly with most water cooling kits, the spacious design and pass-thru knock out panels allows versatility and external water cooling components to be installed on the exterior of the chassis with out drilling holes into your case.Thermaltake even pre-drills attachment holes for pumps and radiator systems right into the chassis.

Fanless Cooling

Armor has been validated to run in a class all by its self, with the advent of fan-less chassis design incorporated into the Armor case, the excellent cooling this design facilitates, allows fan-less VGA, fan-less CPU, fan-less PSU components for a totally silent case. Totally? Yes, totally!

Ending Note

The Armor case is solid and sturdy. To the touch, the case feels thick and rugged. Virtually no flexing was detected under moderate pressure being applied to the case. The 1.0mm SECC steel chassis has finished edges that provide a safe work environment - you will not have too worry about finger cuts with this design. Thermaltake has been known for making hazardous free chassis by refining the fabrication process over the years and this case is no exception.

With awesome looks and functionality, I rate the Armor as one of the best cases on the market. Anyone looking for an exceptional case design and is willing to pay a little extra to get the right stuff, will absolutely love this case! While no case is perfect, Armor covers a lot of the bases and provides great expandability. One could say this case is some what future proofed with ATX and BTX compatibility, the water cooled friendly design, which will allow anyone to grow into a water cooling kit with virtually no modification needed to the chassis.
