Installation Continued...

I popped out the first 5.25" bay panel just underneath the power control module and will put our DVD/RW in the space provided as seen above. The installation is a true tool free design, just slide and click the locking mechanism in place - So simple a monkey can do it!

Installing the DVD/RW drive is a synch. First you squeeze and un-lock the clear locking mechanism and slide the device in place and then lock it in place. No Tools! No problems! No hassles!

Can you tell that I took some time to figure out how to route the cables and wires? Well I did, I sat back popped a bottle of cold water and eye-balled the situation and decided this case deserves to be clean and neat, so I took each device and found the best route for my cables and wires and stashed them around hidden areas to conceal them.

Now that the motherboard and some of its devices are installed, its time to do the graphics cards. For this rig I am going to stuff some cards that go by the name of Gainward GeForce 6600 GT's GS GLH. The Tool-Free design came in handy at this point, no fooling around with screw drivers around these mid-level power houses.

Bam! Here is the system fully installed, fired up and doing a burn in session. The case design is such a friendly design that it took only 45 minutes to rough in the hardware and finalize the test bed to this point. After loading the OS and setting a burn in session, I took these shots.

The Armor case looks kick ass with the TVW480 - LED display showing off the watts being used by the system in real time. The number "92" you see on the LED panel is the approximate wattage being used. You are witnessing an SLI rig which consumes less than 100 watts at a windows idle state. While the TVW480 is not included with the Armor case it just puts that extra edge into an already exceptional case design.

Now that the system is burned in an open air environment, I will now install the fans back in place and finish up the interior of the case. So far so good! I really like this case! So much so that I believe this case earns the right to become a full fledged MVKTech review rig!

This is pretty much the finished product with the transparent side panel window in place. I can now sit back and enjoy what I just created. While I would have loved to water cool this rig for this review that will just have to wait for another time.

This is the Total Watts Viewer in action. I decided to put this right under the DVD/RW giving full control over the PSU fans. TWV allows you to dial in the right amount of fan speed to suite any occassion. Well this about wraps up the Armor review, let's take a look at some gallery photographs...
