Package Content

Included with the Armor comes a very informative manual giving explicit picture details on how to properly install and configure your Armor case. Also included is a cleaning cloth to clean the case. The front bezel has a mirror coating that is really glossy and therefore finger prints and smudges stand out.

Inside the box you will find an 90 cm fan with Tool-Less bracket for easy installation. This fan goes up top of the chassis for extra ventilation - giving you that option of choice and you will also get extra screws and mother-board stand-off's, 4-plastic washers for the water cooling ports. Last and not least is the PSU support bracket, giving added support for transportation and other configurations that require extra support.

As you know, dust and computers don't go well together and for that reason each drive bay cover has a dust filter. They consist of three parts, the filter itself, the steel wire mesh grate and the 5.25" drive bay covers. Used in conjunction this makes one very neat looking and highly functional filtration system. These dust filters are well design and can also be removed and cleaned when needed thanks to Thermaltake's innovative design.

What else do we got? The removable HDD cage can hold three 3.5" devices, giving the end user twice the expandability over other designs. This HDD cage it quite useful for device hungry users (mmm like myself). Thanks to the ingenious design of the Armor chassis the HDD cage is right in front of a 90cm Tt fan - cooling off the devices in the process.

This case is also fitted with several fans, fans are (90mm ~ 9cm) and (120mm ~ 12cm). The two 120 cm fans have blue LED's included which gives the Armor a little extra glow. Those orange fans, you have to love em, I see them and think instantly of Thermaltake. The 120 cm fans are the new TT-1225 DC Brushless 0.30AMP LED models, while the 90 cm fans are the famous TT-9025A also a DC Brushless design using a total of 0.13AMP to run at full spec speeds.

The clever fan brackets convert these fans into a removable modular fan assembly. By clipping these to the fans you can instantly remove or install these coolers to the Armor chassis with no screw drivers or tools. The brackets are easy to use and function well, which allowed me to pull them off with ease.

This is the power control center with includes the power switch, reset button, HDD LED activity indicator, and power led. With this controller you can add a 3.5 device such as a rheo-bus controller or 4 channel fan 3.5" device controller. This controller can be mounted in any position in anyone of the bays you choose.
The Product

The above views show us how well this case is structured and designed. The interior of the case is one of the best around. The PSU is fitted next to the removable HDD cage. The upper right picture shows the HDD cage and a 90 cm fan that will keep them running cool thanks to the way Thermatake designed the rear of the chassis. Notice the PSU mounting orientation? That's right, it's on it's side!

Thermaltake has once again opted for the the Tool-Free approach for installing the hard drives and peripherals, unfortunately the design does not suite dual slot video cards. But this does not stop one from using a dual slot card. Thermaltake made the Tool-free design removable allowing one to use thumb screws to attach those cards in a more conventional way.

This is the 12 cm fan cage that cools off devices with the included 12 cm TT-1225 LED fan which spins at 1400rpm giving ample air cooling. The transparent locking mechanism can be seen to the right of the fan cage. To revmove, you just unlock the device and pull out 3 drive bay covers so the module can slide out as a whole unit. If you look carefully you can see the 12 cm fan peeking over the top rail of the fan cage.
