Techniz has published a review on the Danger Den MAZE4 GPU Water Block. Danger Den is a very famous manufacturer for water cooling and accessories. Danger Den was kind enough to send the MAZE4 GPU water block all the way to us for review. The MAZE4 water block series was designed to provide high performance for any setup. It is available in red, blue and black colours. Our review unit was a blue colour which is my favorite colour!
Danger Den MAZE4 GPU Water Block Review
I used the WaterChill water cooling kit for the performance testing of this MAZE4 GPU water block. During the testing, the room temperature was around 28 Celsius. As you can see, the cooling performance is definitely visible. I have tested the MAZE4 GPU water block at the idle and loading temperatures. There's a 4 Celsius drop during the idle compared with the stock cooler and it pulled down the temperature to 43 Celsius during idles. While the testing of the loading temperature, I was running 3DMark05, the full loading temperature was only at 52 Celsius which is much lower compared to the stock cooler which is at 65 Celsius.
As for the overclocking result. When using the stock cooler, it does not have any RAM cooling due to the stock cooler was blocking the RAM chips. So, I have added some copper BGA RAM sinks for the RAM cooling for the overclocking test. By using the MAZE4 GPU water block, there is an increment of 35MHz for the core and 15MHz for the memory. |
